As a Product Manager, you’ll be working across complex spaces (Fintech, Healthcare, HR Tech - all with serious policy/regulatory environments). That will require you to have a keen intuition for customer needs, risk management, and commercialization. About the Role / What You’ll Work OnThe Time and Product Foundations domain owns the infrastructure and experiences that make Justworks' core product work as one system, regardless of how or where an admin completes their job. Within this domain, the Product Foundations mission builds the horizontal layers that other domains depend on: unified communications, analytics and reporting intelligence, core product surfaces, and our member facing mobile experience. We succeed when every other team at Justworks ships faster, their customers complete jobs from wherever they already are (web, mobile, Slack, or embedded workflows), and our platform compounds rather than fragments as the product grows.As a Group Product Manager at Justworks, you'll lead and advocate for squads that own the systems connecting our product to its customers: the communications platform (transactional messaging, in-app tasks, email), the core product stack (home, nav, search, documents, settings), and our admin facing reporting and analytics suite. You'll leverage your relationships and expertise to empower your cross-functional teams to succeed, overseeing high-impact initiatives that advance Justworks' platform health and business objectives. While hands-on product management will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll spend a significant amount of time teaching and coaching your direct reports and cross-functional teams. You'll guide them in devising strategies, honing their craft, and executing with both excellence and speed. Because Product Foundations is a horizontal team by nature, you'll regularly contribute beyond your team's scope by partnering with adjacent domains to define contracts and boundaries, facilitating adoption of shared infrastructure, and developing systems and processes that benefit our larger technology organization.Your Success ProfileResponsibilitiesOwn and drive the product vision and roadmap for your respective teams within the Product Foundations mission, consisting of Core Product, Communications, and Reporting / Analytics squads.Align strategy and execution by turning company objectives into actionable team goals and OKRs.Partner deeply with other Technology teams, Marketing, and Revenue leadership to develop a best-in-class user experience inside and outside Justwork’s product.Ensure products and features are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.Lead customer-focused product development from ideation to execution while ensuring the customer’s voice guides scope and priorities.Build and coach your team in customer-centric practices, promoting consistent, customer-driven processes throughout the PDLC.Improve product performance by analyzing launch results and metrics, gathering feedback from customer and prospect-facing teams, sharing insights, and planning iterative enhancements that align with business goals.Advocate for robust technical roadmaps by understanding engineering perspectives, balancing technical debt, and collaborating on future-flexible architectures.Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership, providing updates on product status, timelines, and any blockers.Proactively take on opportunities beyond core responsibilities to support product strategy and drive impact.How You Will Do Your WorkAs a Group Product Manager, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.” QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of product development leadership and 7 years as a product manager in a modern technology business.Experience leading complex, cross-team initiatives from ideation to execution.You’ve led technical products and/or have a background in computer science (or similar).Experience building new products (0 to 1) as well as a track record of shipping continuous product improvements to an existing product portfolio at-scale.High bar for product quality and user experience and skilled at breaking down ambiguous problems and sequencing bets.Strong problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down complex problems for team execution against business needs.Deep user empathy and a high bar for user experience.Excellent persuasion and advocacy skills, using clear frameworks, story-telling and first-principles reasoning.Experience coaching and mentoring individual contributors to enhance team performance and effectiveness.Experience with platform development a plus. Experience at high-growth companies is preferred, in a founder or GM capacity is a plus. Experience building products in a highly regulated domain (e.g. fintech or healthcare) is a plus.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SQL, data exploration, product analytics tooling (e.g.: Amplitude, Heap), and feature flagging/experimentation.Experience with AI tooling and capable of utilizing in day-to-day responsibilities.Experience in late-stage or mature B2B SaaS a plus.The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $212,000.00 to $274,000.00 per year.Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
