Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Peabody, MA 01960. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Location: Peabody, MA 01960
• Job Type: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion )
• Schedule: - Tuesday Through Saturday 830am -5pm
• Pay Range: $20/hr - $23/hr on W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.


Specific Duties:

• Drawing blood from patients for laboratory testing, blood donations, or medical procedures.
• Identifying patients correctly before collecting blood samples.
• Explaining the blood collection procedure to help patients understand what to expect.
• Preparing and sterilizing the puncture site using proper infection-control procedures.
• Using the correct equipment, such as needles, vacutainers, and collection tubes.
• Labeling blood samples accurately to prevent identification errors.
• Transporting specimens safely to the laboratory according to established guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting specimen collection.

Requirements:

• Experienced Phlebotomist , proficient in Adult and pediatric patients.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 Years experience in a Clinical lab Setting.
• Phlebotomy Certificate
