Job Description
Job Description:\n\nReady to Treat Patients Without Burning Out And Grow as a Clinician Again?\n\nWhat if you could be challenged, grow clinically, and still have a life outside of work? What if your clinic invested in mentorship, protected your PTO, and treated productivity as a tool, not a pressure point?\nAt Orthopaedics Plus, we believe the best clinicians thrive when they’re supported in achieving their personal, professional, and financial goals. That’s why we’ve built an environment where you can do your best work with great people and still be home for dinner. We’re not another outpatient clinic. We’re a therapist-owned, fellowship-trained team committed to changing what it means to work in physical therapy. Our focus is on real relationships, meaningful growth, and helping both our patients and our team members reach their full potential.\n\nWho We're Looking For: \n\nAre you a purpose-driven physical therapist who thrives in a collaborative environment? Do you want to grow personally, professionally, and financially while being challenged to become the best clinician you can be? \nThe therapists who thrive at Orthopaedics Plus value mentorship, supportive leadership, and the freedom to use their clinical judgment to help patients succeed. They want to keep learning, continue growing, and work in a place where their career supports their life, not the other way around. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you!\n\nWhy Clinicians Are Joining Orthopaedics Plus:\n\nWork That Aligns With Your Values: Many clinicians leave their current roles because their workplace no longer aligns with the values that brought them into physical therapy in the first place. At Orthopaedics Plus, our values guide how patients are treated every day, how we support one another, and how decisions are made.\n\nMeaningful Results – Everyone leaves as a success story.\n\nSuccess isn’t just about finishing a treatment plan. It’s about helping patients return to the things that matter most to them, whether that’s getting back to running, lifting their kids, or simply living without pain.\n\nTeamwork – Collaboration leads to extraordinary results.\n\nYou’ll work in an environment where clinicians share ideas, ask for input, and help each other solve tough cases. Collaboration isn’t occasional, it’s part of how we practice every day.\n\nEducation – The best way to learn is to teach.\n\nTeaching and learning happen constantly. From mentoring newer clinicians, to sharing techniques, to discussing clinical reasoning between patients, growth is woven into the daily rhythm of the clinic.\n\nChallenge the Status Quo – Can we be better?\n\nGrowth happens when people stay curious. At Orthopaedics Plus, our clinicians seek growth, ask questions, and look for ways to improve both their own practice and the systems around them. We encourage team members to take initiative, grow into new roles, and actively participate in shaping the future of our clinic. \n\nWork-Life Balance: At Orthopaedics Plus, that starts with a schedule designed to be sustainable. Our therapists are expected to treat 62 visits per week, compared to 65+ at other clinics. This consists of 36 hours of patient care and 4 hours of dedicated documentation time built directly into the schedule - all on the clock. We utilize an AI scribe system to significantly reduce documentation time. The goal is simple: finish your workday at work, not at home. This structure allows clinicians to focus on patient care while still having protected time to complete documentation during the workday. We strongly encourage our clinicians to actually use their paid time off. When you take PTO, you don’t need to worry about arranging coverage for your patients or scrambling to fill your schedule beforehand. Our team handles the logistics so you can step away knowing your patients and teammates are supported. And we take it a step further. Each year, we offer what we like to call “Paid Paid Vacation.” In addition to your PTO, we reimburse up to $1,350 in vacation expenses to help you truly disconnect, recharge, and enjoy time away from work. Because when clinicians return rested and energized, they show up better for their patients, their teammates, and themselves. The result is a schedule that allows you to breathe, not burn out - with realistic caseloads, protected documentation time, paid time off, and zero catch-up expectations.\nA Truly Supportive Culture: Supportive cultures don’t happen by accident - they’re built intentionally. At Orthopaedics Plus, weekly team meetings and 1:1s are protected time, not something squeezed into an already busy schedule. These are opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, and continue improving how we care for patients. We also believe meaningful growth happens through consistent communication. Regular 1:1 meetings with your team leader focus on support, feedback, and helping you continue developing in ways that matter to you. Our leadership team takes these discussions seriously. When team members share ideas or concerns, we listen. And when something needs to change, we take action. Something very important to us: when meetings, 1:1s, or in-services happen, your productivity expectations adjust accordingly. You’re never expected to “make up” visits for time spent learning, collaborating, or developing professionally. Because growth shouldn’t happen at the expense of sustainability.\nNew Challenges - Without Burnout: We have established growth tracks to help you level up, documented, structured, and laid out clearly for you. They cover a wide range of career interests, from leadership to education. You'll be coached, not micromanaged. You’ll get dedicated time to grow, not "off the clock" assignments. As you take on new responsibilities, whether in leadership, education, or projects that move the organization forward, you’ll have protected time to develop those skills during the workday.\nTherapist-Centered Environment: Orthopaedics Plus is owned and led by treating physical therapists, not corporate executives removed from patient care. Because of that, the decisions we make are guided by clinicians who understand what it’s like to work in the clinic every day. You won’t find layers of corporate red tape here. Our focus is simple: support great clinicians so they can deliver great care. That means prioritizing our people and protecting sustainable schedules. When clinicians are trusted and supported, both patients and therapists thrive, and that’s the kind of practice we’ve worked hard to build. \nMentorship and Professional Development: We actively invest in the long-term growth of our clinicians. For therapists interested in advancing their manual therapy skills, we cover the tuition for a manual therapy residency program ($5800 value). To support what you learn in the residency, you’ll work alongside fellowship-credentialed manual therapists where learning happens every day. Case discussions and shared clinical reasoning services create an environment where developing your craft is part of the normal rhythm of the clinic. Whether you’re building a strong foundation as a new graduate or refining advanced skills as a seasoned clinician, you’ll be supported in continuing to grow as a physical therapist\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nProvide thoughtful, patient-centered care while managing your schedule and achieving productivity goals.\nApply strong clinical reasoning to help patients navigate their recovery, not simply follow protocols.\nMaintain clear and timely documentation using our AI-supported documentation system.\nCollaborate with a team of clinicians who value shared learning, feedback, and professional growth.\nAttend weekly team meetings, monthly in-services, and regular 1:1 check-ins with your team leader (all on the clock).\nBuild strong relationships with patients and referring providers that naturally lead to meaningful referrals.\nContribute to a culture that values your voice, encourages new ideas, and celebrates team successes.\nEngage in ongoing learning and reflection to continually improve your clinical practice.\n\nMeet your mentor:\n\nAlex Trotsky, PT, MSPT, FAAOMPT, OMT\n\nAre you ready to take your physical therapy skills to the next level? Meet Alex Trotsky. He’s a leader and mentor at Orthopaedics Plus who is deeply committed to helping clinicians grow into confident, skilled, and thoughtful providers.\nWhat Makes Alex an Outstanding Mentor?\n\nAdvanced Clinical Expertise: Alex is fellowship-trained through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and has completed extensive post-graduate training through the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. His depth of knowledge in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and clinical reasoning provides a strong foundation for mentorship.\nContinuous Learner & Educator: Alex is constantly refining his craft—reading, researching, and applying new ideas. He brings that same mindset into mentorship, encouraging clinicians to stay curious, ask questions, and continue growing.\nSports & Running Specialist: As a lifelong athlete and passionate runner, Alex has developed a niche working with endurance athletes across Eastern Massachusetts. He brings a unique perspective to treating runners and helping clinicians understand performance, injury prevention, and return-to-sport strategies.\nRelationship-Driven Care: Alex believes exceptional outcomes start with strong therapist-patient relationships. He teaches clinicians how to build trust, communicate effectively, and truly understand each patient’s goals.\n\nWhy Learn with Alex?\n\nIn the clinic, Alex brings energy, curiosity, and a passion for helping others improve. He enjoys working through complex cases, collaborating with teammates, and helping clinicians sharpen their clinical reasoning and hands-on skills. His mentorship style focuses on thinking critically, treating purposefully, and connecting with patients on a deeper level. Whether you’re learning manual techniques, refining exercise progressions, or developing your clinical confidence, Alex meets you where you are and helps you level up. At Orthopaedics Plus, mentorship goes beyond education: it’s about building meaningful relationships and developing clinicians who are confident in their abilities and excited about their careers. With Alex’s guidance, you’ll grow not only as a clinician, but as a professional who can make a lasting impact on your patients.\n\nResults:\n\nDeliver meaningful outcomes for patients, helping them achieve their goals and leave the clinic as a success story.\nMaintain strong patient relationships that lead to high satisfaction and meaningful referrals built on trust.\nProvide thoughtful, skilled care that balances effective treatment, appropriate billing, and clinical integrity.\nHelp patients successfully complete their plan of care through clear guidance, strong engagement, and measurable progress.\nContinuously refine your approach so each patient receives care that is both effective and efficient.\n\nRequirements: \n\nGraduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.\nLicensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts\nDemonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nSkills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and adapting to patient needs\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nAble to reflect on your treatment and adapt based on outcomes and feedback\nHungry to grow, ready to contribute, and eager to be mentored\n\nBenefits:\n\nPaid Time Off:\n\nUp to 33 days each year and you get $1,350 back for vacation costs.\nRequired vacation use (we want you to unplug).\n\nStudent Loan Repayment Program: up to $5,000 per year paid by OP.\nReimbursement for the entire residency tuition to the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy ($5800 value).\n401(k) with 4% Company Match\nInsurance Package:\n\nMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Accident, Hospital indemnity, Critical illness\nPet insurance\n\nExtra Perks:\n\n3.5 hours of documentation time\nAI documentation scribe (let the AI scribe write your notes for you!)\nFree gym access 24/7\nTraining and nutrition discounts at Spectrum Fitness\nFSA/Section 125 Plan\nPaid Jury duty leave and bereavement leave\n\nWhat staff members say about Orthopaedics Plus:\n\nOP has amazing team members and a great work culture. The clients we get are great and the fact that we only schedule two patients per hour. The new bonus system has been amazing. My teammates make work a happy place. They also promote a patient-first culture. There is a lot of opportunity and openness to give feedback on processes. The organization has clear growth tracks, which help me see my possible future paths.\nMy favorite part about OP has to be my coworkers. Everyone at OP supports and upholds our culture. I also have a great ability to talk to leadership, which you don't see at a lot of other places. The camaraderie of my coworkers keeps me here. I love helping people who appreciate my work. That joy makes my job rewarding. These are what have kept me here for so many years. \nI love the friendliness and camaraderie we share in the clinic at OP. It's fun, light, and we work together to help patients and each other. The people I work with keep me here. I enjoy seeing my own patients regularly.\nThe doc time, realistic productivity expectations, and mentorship make this the best PT job I’ve ever had. I never miss a team meeting or 1:1, because they’re built into the schedule. That makes all the difference.\n\nWe’re not hiring for a seat to fill. We’re hiring a teammate. One who wants to grow, challenge themselves, and treat patients the right way. You won’t just make a difference in your patients’ lives - you’ll feel the difference in yours. Apply today and join us at Orthopaedics Plus.
