Lead Technician

This is a replacement request for a Lead Technician within the Onshore Wind Power Service Operations team at White Cloud Wind Farm Marysville, MO. The position is essential for ensuring business continuity by delivering advanced technical service and maintenance for customer wind turbine equipment. To meet these objectives, the role focuses on three core areas: advanced on-site technical service, including complex troubleshooting and maintenance; operational coordination and reporting to ensure service delivery excellence; and leadership and safety compliance to guide junior technicians and uphold a secure work environment. Given the focus on specialized technical work and team oversight, the ideal candidate will have significant experience as a wind technician, a vocational degree in an electromechanical field, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in English and relevant certifications, such as GWO, are highly valued for this senior para-professional role. What You'll Make an Impact Routine Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance checks, inspections, and lubrication on wind turbine components. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with wind turbines. Safety: Ensuring all work activities are performed safely, adhering to safety protocols and procedures, and providing safety training. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance data. Tower Climbing: Climbing the towers in order to inspect, diagnose and repair components. This does require knowledge of specialized climbing skills and related equipment. Component Replacement: Replacing or repairing worn-out or damaged wind turbine components. What You Bring Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. An associate's degree in a related field is a plus. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered (I.e.: military, skilled trades). A background in wind turbine maintenance or power generation is preferred but not required. Safety Knowledge: An understanding of safety protocols and procedures. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshooting . Ability to diagnose and repair complex technical issues. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors. Physical Fitness: Ability to climb wind turbine towers and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by OSHA safety regulations. Valid driver's license is required for the position and the selected candidates will be subject to a DMV check. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
