Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician

Hourly Wage Estimate: $29.72 - $46.60 per hour Job Summary and Qualifications The Cellular Therapeutics (CT) Medical Technologist (Med Tech) performs therapeutic apheresis and cellular collection/harvest and processing for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in compliance with The Joint Commission, FDA, and FACT standards. Basic patient care includes accessing central lines and monitoring vital signs. The Med Tech functions within Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center policies and procedures and continuously strives to improve through formal and informal education. BLS required. Special qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members; ability to manage a team and work with others to ensure quality patient care; strong critical thinking skills. Education: B.A. or B.S. in Medical Technology or related field (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) preferred. Experience: Experience in phlebotomy, therapeutic apheresis, stem cell collection, bone marrow harvest, cell processing/cryopreservation is desired but not required.
