Senior Cost Controls Professional The Senior Cost Controls Professional will report to the Pittsburgh, PA office (candidates located on the East Coast will also be considered). You will be a major contributor to exciting projects in our Electronics group. You will provide client management, interface with, update, and present to all levels of management; partner with Project Managers to ensure complete awareness of project cost and risks, and provide alternative strategies for mitigation and opportunities. Jacobs utilizes advanced enterprise system platforms and data analysis solutions to support service excellence. Responsibilities Perform the controls for the Program and all associated projects and manage the overall program cost controls and reporting function Interface with other project team members, including Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Office planning, IT, Accounting, Economics and Finance, Tax, Contracts and Legal, to facilitate compliance with execution strategy and objectives with cost efficiency Provide status reports and related project reporting analyses to company and client management Identify problems and coordinate with the project team to correct and ensure work is being coordinated between other departments and offices to meet project cost requirements Prepare various project cost controls plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for project management on assigned projects Manage work processes and procedures for cost management Evaluate projects at each stage of development to ensure cost and financial activities of the project team, including client/contractual obligations Review contract drafts and related terms and conditions to ensure they meet project cost controls requirements and coordinate Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field At least 10 years of related cost controls experience Experience working on various projects, including coordinating and executing project issues Specific experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis Experience in project controls and financial issues with emphasis on cost management Ideally you’ll also have Program-related experience Excel macros, databases (MS Access), Power BI and dashboard development Experience with Primavera P6 resource loading Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $120,400.00 to $188,125.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Eligible employees may enroll in a deferred compensation plan.
