CMM Programmer/Operator

Location: Poway, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay: $30–$45/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary: Seeking an experienced CMM Operator/Programmer to support quality inspection and programming for precision-manufactured components. This role will develop and execute CMM programs, perform inspections, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Program, operate, validate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect parts using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and CAD models.
• Prepare inspection, first-article, and customer reports.
• Perform incoming material and final inspections.
• Support PPAP requirements, audits, and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot measurement and quality issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Enter inspection and production data into ERP and other systems.
• Follow applicable quality, safety, and AS9100 procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years CMM operating experience and 1+ year CMM programming experience .
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with precision inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of CAD models and inspection processes.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred: Aerospace manufacturing/quality experience, AS9100 knowledge, CNC machining experience, and a technical or engineering degree.
