Title: Patient Accounts / Customer Service Representative

Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite)

Compensation: $17.30 – $24.22 per hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) benefits through Addison Group during the contract period.

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is hiring multiple Patient Accounts / Customer Service Representatives on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a growing healthcare management organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, resolving billing inquiries, and supporting revenue cycle operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound and outbound patient calls related to billing, insurance, and account inquiries
• Explain charges, claim summaries, and account balances in a clear and professional manner
• Collect patient payments and assist with setting up payment arrangements or plans
• Research and resolve patient account issues, including billing discrepancies and claim concerns
• Work assigned tasks related to patient accounts, billing projects, and collections activities
• Route or escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate internal teams when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and account activity
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to review and update patient information
• Support ongoing billing initiatives and participate in training or departmental projects as needed
• Build positive relationships with patients through clear, empathetic communication

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a call center, customer service, or patient-facing support role
• Prior exposure to healthcare billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle processes preferred
• Familiarity with medical billing concepts and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks or Epic experience a plus)
• Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining quality and professionalism
• Strong communication skills with a clear, pleasant phone presence
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Detail-oriented with basic understanding of billing and insurance terminology
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take direction
