Position Registered Veterinary Technician Location Elk Grove, California Overview The City of Elk Grove is currently accepting applications for a Registered Veterinary Technician. The position offers a competitive salary range of $59,255.00 to $79,421.00 annually plus excellent benefits. Responsibilities Support high-volume spay and neuter surgery for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Perform duties in a fast‑paced work environment with efficiency and attention to detail. Assist with other veterinary and shelter medicine tasks as required. Qualifications Licensed in the state of California as a Registered Veterinary Technician, or the ability to obtain licensure before the start of the pre‑employment background process. Experience or training suitable for high-volume surgical caseloads. Prior familiarity with shelter medicine is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Commitment to the Wednesday through Saturday schedule, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
