Job Title Maintenance Technician - OC26314 Location Lake Havasu City, AZ Closing Date June 16, 2026 Salary $20.67 - $29.98/Hourly; DOQ FLSA Status Non-Exempt Grade CP5 Job Summary This is a general maintenance and public works laborer position responsible for maintaining city facilities, parks, streets, irrigation systems, and public grounds. The role combines manual labor, equipment operation, landscaping, basic construction, and facility maintenance. The employee works under supervision and may occasionally work weekends, holidays, or be on-call. Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance: Perform skilled repairs of city buildings, including plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall, and roofing. Equipment Operation: Safely operate medium to heavy-duty machinery. Public Safety: Execute traffic control and flagging duties; conduct daily inspections of electrical equipment to ensure operational safety. Project Oversight: Manage materials, track project timelines, ensure equipment safety and proper tool usage. Environment: This position can involve outdoor manual labor in hot temperatures. Schedule: May require flexibility for non-standard or rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callbacks. Ideal candidate will have experience performing routine labor functions in facilities and parks maintenance activities such as setting forms and pouring concrete, performing construction activities, checking, installing and repairing irrigation systems, mowing, weeding, planting and pruning, marking fields, and setting up for special events; maintaining equipment and routine cleaning of amenities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimal experience in construction, landscaping, street and building facilities maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement required at the time of hire (trainee considered if not possessed).
