We are a family-owned 57-unit motel that has been welcoming guests for over 60 years. Our reputation has been built on providing clean, comfortable accommodations and friendly, personal service. Our guests consistently recognize us for our cleanliness and friendliness, and our housekeeping team plays an important role in maintaining those standards.

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team during the 2027 season.

About the Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operation and ensuring that our rooms and property continue to meet the high standards our guests have come to expect.

The supervisor will start and organize the housekeeping team each morning, schedule staff, inspect their work, address any cleaning issues, and make sure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly. This person will also be responsible for housekeeping supplies, including monitoring inventory and placing orders when needed.

Responsibilities

Start and organize the housekeeping team each morning.

Schedule housekeepers and coordinate daily assignments and staffing.

Hire, train, supervise, and make recommendations regarding termination of housekeeping employees.

Inspect guest rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure our high standards are consistently met.

Follow up with housekeepers when additional cleaning or attention is needed.

Monitor the quality and efficiency of the housekeeping team.

Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and place orders as needed.

Carry a supply/inspection bag throughout the property while checking rooms.

Communicate with management regarding staffing, guest concerns, maintenance issues, and other housekeeping matters.

Lead by example and help maintain the friendly, respectful atmosphere of our family-owned business.

Perform other housekeeping and supervisory duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Our three-story property does not have an elevator, so the successful candidate must be physically able to:

Climb stairs repeatedly throughout the workday.

Walk and stand for extended periods.

Carry a bag of supplies while inspecting rooms throughout all three floors.

Move comfortably and safely throughout the property while performing room inspections and supervisory duties.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, observant, and comfortable taking responsibility for a team. Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Experience in a motel, hotel, inn, or similar hospitality setting is a plus.
