Animation IT Technician

Salary: $76,960 - 83,200 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in technical support or user support, ideally within an animation studio or production environment
• Proficiency with Mac OS X, iOS, and Windows, plus familiarity with Linux desktop environments
• Experience using ticketing systems, support tools, documentation platforms, and diagnostic software
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices
• Familiarity with animation or VFX software such as Maya and Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of productivity tools including OpenOffice, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Gmail, and Google-based support tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and potentially repair or replace hardware components such as drives, GPU cards, memory modules, and fans
• Capability to train individual users on workflows, scripts and tools, mobile devices, and studio procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
• Self-directed approach with the ability to prioritize multiple competing issues in a complex production setting
• Help desk experience and prior animation studio or production support experience
• Mac OS experience of 4 years and help desk experience of 2 years, as noted in the posting
• Ability to commute to Burbank, CA 91521 and work on site

• Deliver help desk and service center support by monitoring incoming technical requests, calls, and tickets across the studio
• Use a centralized studio help desk process to resolve issues quickly and route more complex problems to the right team
• Partner with other technology groups to identify the best solution for difficult technical issues
• Support onboarding and provide technology training for new employees
• Help create and promote self-service learning resources, including shared documentation and video training
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of support workflows and policies, and recommend process enhancements
• Support a broad range of internally developed and third-party software
• Provide support for multiple hardware and operating system platforms, including Mac, Linux, iOS, and Windows, along with related accessories
• Troubleshoot general technical equipment such as workstations, laptops, printers, displays, and tablets
• Maintain flexibility in the schedule, including possible night or weekend shifts
