Senior Power BI/Tableau Developer

IDR is seeking a Senior PowerBI/Tableau Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, or Texas. This role involves supporting a healthcare organization through a critical analytics migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Tableau and Power BI, focusing on transforming complex reports into efficient dashboards that meet healthcare data standards.

Position Overview for the Senior PowerBI/Tableau Developer:

• Support a healthcare organization in migrating existing Tableau dashboards to Power BI.
• Analyze and translate complex Tableau reports and calculations into Power BI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet business and healthcare compliance needs.
• Optimize Power BI models for performance, scalability, and security.
• Assist in upskilling internal teams in Power BI capabilities.

Requirements for the Senior PowerBI/Tableau Developer:

• 6+ years of experience in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service (cloud) with advanced DAX skills including time intelligence, CALCULATE, FILTER, iterators (SUMX, AVERAGEX), variables, and virtual tables
• 6+ years of experience in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online experience with expert knowledge of Tableau LOD expressions (FIXED, INCLUDE, EXCLUDE) and their Power BI DAX equivalents
• 3+ years of recent experience working with healthcare data, including clinical, operational, financial, and/or population health datasets
• Healthcare quality/operational metrics experience (HEDIS/STARS, utilization, care management, population health, etc.)
• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining healthcare KPI dashboards
