Physical Therapist (PT)

This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone or text, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate plans of care that adhere to regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting changes in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on patient evaluations; make referrals as necessary based on outcomes.
• Consult and counsel patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services rendered according to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records as per company policy.
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services rendered in compliance with all regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Participate in mandatory meetings, including patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Engage in facility and company-required training sessions, in-services, and conferences.
• Obtain necessary Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or supplies as per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics as outlined by relevant governing bodies.

Schedule

The position offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, requiring a consistent start time between 6 AM and 10 AM. Weekend work is not typically required unless a holiday occurs during the week, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience is required.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is required.
• A valid Missouri State License is required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply as long as they have Level II experience rather than solely Level I observation experience.
