Relocation assistance available. Job Overview Alpha has redesigned classroom instruction so you define the learning experience. You create 20‑minute small‑group workshops driven by real‑time adaptive‑app data, lead daily motivation sessions, and adjust instruction during the day. You field parent questions and respond with data, and your work informs practices across other Alpha campuses. What You Will Be Doing Creating K‑2 reading workshops driven by live adaptive‑app data, rooted in structured‑literacy approaches (Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or equivalent). Leading daily motivation sessions to drive 100 % of students toward weekly app targets using Alpha's framework (campus currency, leaderboards, age‑appropriate gamification). Analyzing AI‑generated performance data (fluency trajectories, decoding precision, comprehension indicators) to modify instruction during the day. Conducting running records, fluency probes, and decoding assessments to document gains in weekly campus data reviews. Serving as an engaging, high‑energy adult that students look forward to seeing each day. What You Won’t Be Doing Implementing a published reading curriculum or scripted lesson plan. Delivering whole‑class lectures; instruction occurs in small, targeted groups. Serving as a reading consultant, teacher coach, or district‑level specialist. Managing a conventional classroom schedule: subject‑by‑subject lectures, homework correction, test preparation. Preparing IEPs, 504 plans, or formal diagnostic reports; data are captured in the app and running records. Key Responsibilities Generate measurable K‑2 reading progress across phonics, fluency, and comprehension within a campus culture of weekly review. Basic Requirements Structured‑literacy certification (Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR a Master’s degree in reading instruction. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus 2+ years of full‑time K‑2 structured reading instruction within the past 5 years, using systematic phonics or structured literacy. Proven capacity to create own reading lessons and clearly explain teaching methods. Willingness to work on‑site full‑time at one Alpha campus with relocation assistance available. Willingness to work with all K‑2 students, incorporating AI and adaptive‑learning tools as they evolve. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship. Nice‑to‑Have Requirements Direct experience with AI‑powered or adaptive reading platforms (e.g., Amira, Lexia, i‑Ready, Reading Plus). Documented history of measurable reading outcomes (fluency gains in WCPM, accuracy improvement, decoding progression). Familiarity with diagnostic reading assessments (DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb). Experience in high‑accountability educational settings. Background in performance, youth sports coaching, or other K‑2 engagement outside the reading classroom.
