Bridge/Structural Engineering Intern - Transportation (Fall 2026)

Your Opportunity The role of a Structural / Bridge Engineering Intern is to work as an integral team member on a variety of projects under the guidance of a Senior Bridge Engineer. This role will entail a variety of tasks which may include performing simple calculations, spreadsheet creation, quantity take-offs, plan set preparation, CAD drafting, field inspection activities, reporting, building familiarity with codes, legislation, and professional reference material, and assisting with the load rating of structures such as bridges and culverts for pedestrian, vehicular, and railroad projects. Your Capabilities and Credentials * Must be willing and able to take initiative when needed and have the flexibility to learn new skills. * Good communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications, and presentations, MS Office skills including Word and Excel; PowerPoint and/or Mathcad is a plus.

• Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation or other is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally for short durations is a plus.
• Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
