About the Position

Job Title: RN II - B3A Neuro Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months. Pass/fail Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance of a position, with a maximum of 2 attempts. Able to interpret EKGs. Description: The unit requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. It has 26 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4. Charge nurses have no patient assignments and there is a manager available in a management role. Patient care techs are available at a ratio of 1 per every 13 patients. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Scrub colors are navy. Centralized telemetry is utilized. Patients commonly experience neuro, CVA, pulmonary, and general telemetry diagnoses. A respiratory team is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours long, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Floor-specific orientation is 2 days on the floor. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks. The charting system in use is Cerner.
