Responsible for the success of projects of large and complex scope. *Must be listed as a Project Manager or Sponsor in Vantagepoint. \n2. Independently performs all assignments, addresses staff questions/concerns of moderate complexity, escalates critical and financial matters pertaining to the project to the supervisor, can identify areas needing improvement, and recommend corrective action to improve overall project performance. \n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n1. Financial Management // \n\n Utilize weekly budget report, project reports, accounts receivable (A/R) report, and staff utilization to manage projects and resources. Escalate to Department Manager for additional staffing needs. \n Prepare scope of work (SOW), Levels of Effort (LOE) and schedules for projects. Identify out of scope requests and prepare proposals for additional authorizations.\n Responsible for collection of invoices from clients and other Project Manager’s clients under their direction. Communicates with Department Manager for delayed payment risk plans.\n\n2. Corporate Compliance + Risk Assessment //\n\n Ensure completion of the contract and subcontract review process through the Contracts Department and appropriate filing and adhere to jurisdictional requirements and company-established signature matrix protocol. \n Review and provide contract mark ups, negotiate client contract modifications with support from Contracts Department, and knowledge of 5 contract review modifications including indemnification (duty to defend), standard of care, insurance requirements, warranty, and payment terms*\n Negotiate payment terms with the client. \n Ensure the company-established QA/QC process is followed from proposals to final deliverables.\n Capable of identifying preclusions on pursuits and teaming opportunities. \n\n3. Communication + Collaboration //\n\n Held accountable for communications and collaboration such as ensuring that messages and information are not only received but understood and acted upon appropriately within the department, other disciplines and regions, and corporate resources including engagement of staff. \n Able to articulate project requirements timelines, deliverables, corporate directives, in a concise and clear manner.\n Ensure project and company communication is provided and documented to clients and staff. \n Assist with and provide guidance to marketing for requests for qualifications (RFQ), proposals, interview preparation, teaming, resumes, etc. Capable of writing project approaches for RFQ for marketing pursuits.\n\n4. Client + Internal Satisfaction // \n\n Be responsive and accessible, anticipate needs and proactively offer solutions, address complex problems and concerns timely, and follow up to ensure satisfaction post-resolution.\n Oversee multiple clients and ensure a positive and professional rapport.\n\n5. People Development //\n\n Provide timely feedback directly to staff including for annual evaluation.\n Ensures adequate staffing and recruiting of project team members.\n Delegates work to, trains, mentors, and supervises junior-level staff and other entry to senior level project managers to complete assignments.\n Exhibit exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to clearly define goals and responsibilities that are clear and realistic.\n\nTechnical //\nWork on projects that include the following scopes:\n\n Familiar with ASCE 38-22 & 75-22\n Understands SUE processes/Quality Levels\n Basic records research (811)\n Reconciles field discrepancies\n Reads plans/as-builts\n Coordinates support vendors\n Familiar with SUE equipment\n Understands Utility Design\n Conflict analysis/matrix\n Land/local regulations for SUE\n UESI training\n New technology in SUE/Survey\n\nUtilize the following software applications to complete/review project work:\n\n AutoCAD, Microstation, ORD\n Esri based data collection software \n BlueBeam / Adobe \n\nCOBBFENDLEY CHARACTERISTICS\n\n We Collaborate // with a professional attitude making communication a priority.\n We Commit // to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment, with a focus on accountability. \n We Build Communities // by fulfilling our responsibilities with integrity that is consistent with industry standards.\n\n \nPHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS + ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS\nMost work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and outdoor environments for observations will be required.\n\n Seated and Standing Position. Extended periods of sitting and standing in an upright position at a workstation.\n Mobility. Movement within the office and job sites, including navigating between floors, workstations, and outdoor environments with potential for uneven surfaces.\n Neck Movement. Forward flexion, extension, or lateral rotation of the head and neck while using multiple computer screens.\n Repetitive Motion. Repetitive finger movements for operating a computer mouse and typing on a keyboard.\n Arm Movement. Extending hands and arms in various directions, such as overhead, below the waist, forward, or laterally.\n Object Handling. Raising or lowering objects from one level to another and transporting objects by holding them in the hands, arms, or over the shoulder.\n Cognitive Requirements. Selective attention, oral comprehension, oral expression, speech recognition, speech clarity, written comprehension, written expression, problem sensitivity, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, number facility, information ordering, category flexibility, flexibility of closure, fluency of ideas, and originality.\n Office Conditions. Includes extensive use of electronic devices such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones. Additionally, tasks may involve the use of cutting tools and equipment like rotary paper cutters and plotting devices.\n Outdoor Conditions. Includes walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat and freezing temperatures). Potential exposure to high noise levels and various allergens, including poison ivy, sumac, dust, pollen, and cedar. Potential exposure to wildlife hazards such as animals, insects, and plants.\n Safety and Equipment Use. Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, along with use of hand and power tools.\n Driving and Vehicle Use. May involve driving large pick-up trucks with attached trailers, potentially operating watercraft, and for extended periods of time. \n\nEXPECTED WORK HOURS\n\n This is a full-time position, generally 40 hours per week, however, hours may fluctuate depending on department needs including the use of overtime. \n CobbFendley’s standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST. Generally, employees receive a 1-hour unpaid lunch break free of duty.
