Start Date: ASAP Hours: 20+ per week, ongoing Schedule: Fridays from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm; Weekends from 9:30 to 6:00 pm This is a part-time, independent contractor position About the Role I am seeking a strong, agile, and compassionate HHA to provide one-on-one weekend support to myself, This is a hands-on, physically active position focused on supporting independence, mobility, personal care, and meaningful engagement in daily life. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, physically strong, emotionally steady, and genuinely enjoys providing companionship. A positive attitude and enthusiasm for caregiving are essential. Training will be provided for safe transfers and equipment use. Have you ever seen "The Intouchables" movie? This is what Im looking for. Can you cook? I can teach you. Key Responsibilities Mobility & Transfers Safe transfers (approximately 10–14 per day) between wheelchair, bed, and bathroom Navigating ramps, curbs, and occasional stairs Assisting with wheelchair mobility indoors and outdoors Personal Care Bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support Daily Support Medication reminders Accompanying client on outings and fun neighborhood activities, grocery shopping, running errands Light housekeeping and grocery runs Preparing simple, healthy meals Companionship Conversation, music, and engaged presence suited to an intellectually active individual I live in a great neighborhood and like to go out to see people. I enjoy the arts, visual experiences, good food, and all my friends in the neighborhood.. Qualifications Calm, reliable, punctual, and dependable. Comfortable with transfers, stairs, and long walks. Clear, patient communicator (English required, I also like other languages). Organized and consistent with daily routines. College degree preferred, not required. Certifications such as CPR/First Aid are a plus. Background check and references required.
