Position Description

Lunchroom and Recess Supervisor Carver Elementary

Position Start Date: August 24, 2026 Salary: $19.33/hr. (Tier 2) Days/Hours: Student Contact Days; Monday - Friday; 10:30am - 1:00pm Responsible To: Building Principal/Administrative Dean

Position Purpose: To supervise students during lunch and recess (if applicable).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises student behavior
• Guides students to appropriate destinations
• Interacts and develops positive relationships with students
• Enforces handbook and encourages students to maintain respectful behaviors
• Diffuses student conflict and refers students to administration when needed
• Communicates with administration and/or counselors around student issues
• Reports violations of policy to administration
• Checks bathrooms and restricted areas
• Supervises students outside when finished eating when applicable
• Checks for intruders
• Maintains clean halls
• Greets visitors and escorts them to the office
• Monitors exits
• Helps clean tables and floors between lunches
• Helps and encourages student disposal and recycling of lunch materials
