Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client, is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be part of the Cybersecurity and Compliance department supporting enterprise-wide security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Lead Cybersecurity Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA (On Site) Pay Range: What's the Job? Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of comprehensive cybersecurity programs across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Develop and maintain secure architectures for cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring robust security controls. Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices organization-wide to promote a security-first culture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, DevOps, legal, and audit to integrate security into all phases of technology development and operations. Perform risk assessments, manage compliance audits, and develop remediation strategies to address security gaps and ensure regulatory adherence. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), or security engineering. Deep expertise in cloud security architecture, security automation, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Proven ability to lead security initiatives and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong understanding of security controls, vulnerability management, and enterprise risk management practices. What's in it for me?
