SUMMARY XENON Automation USA is seeking an entrepreneurial Sales and Service Manager to lead revenue growth and customer success for our automation solutions portfolio. This role is responsible for driving new business development, managing new and existing customer relationships, and overseeing field service and technical support operations. The ideal candidate operates with an ownership mentality — treating the business as their own — while building a pipeline of equipment projects and service contracts focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitable growth. This position requires a hands‑on leader who can balance strategic sales development with operational service delivery, ensuring customers receive best‑in‑class automation solutions and equipment service support. It is anticipated that the Business Development and Sales responsibilities will be 80% of the role, with the remaining 20% managing the service operations. Monthly general activities are also required to ensure continuity in the day‑to‑day operations of the business. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE The USA Sales and Service Manager leads the process that provides consistent and sustainable growth in XENON automation equipment solutions for USA customers. The candidate ensures high customer satisfaction with post‑installation service orders through efficient operations and responsiveness. A strong ownership mentality and entrepreneurial mindset is a given. The candidate is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment and willing to work in a flexible environment on Sales, Service and General activities as outlined below. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Sales (Primary – approximately 80%) Own the USA sales strategy for automation products, systems and services in close alignment and ongoing coordination with XENON’s executive management. Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across Automotive, Energy, Electronics and Medical industry. Drive growth by developing target customer accounts and outlining sales strategy for each customer. Quickly establish relationships with target accounts and develop sales opportunities. Collaborate with XENON project development and sales teams in Dresden (Germany), Querétaro (Mexico) and Suzhou (China) to provide future USA customers with the best automation solution for their application. Maintain a high level of machine automation knowledge to have meaningful conversations with new and existing customers. Attend automation industry exhibitions, fairs, trade shows and other events to meet prospective customers, develop your network, and initiate the Business Development process. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships and communications with the XENON Group locations in Germany, Mexico and China. Service (Secondary – approximately 20%) Own and manage the USA Service operations for future and existing customers by processing service requests, dispatching service technicians to site when applicable, and communicating any follow‑up actions after service completion. Work in conjunction with the XENON USA and XENON Querétaro service technicians to properly serve customers and close open topics resulting from service requests at customers’ sites. Participate in Global Service strategy meetings with overall Service leadership in Dresden Germany and the North American Service Center in Querétaro Mexico. General / Commercial Responsibilities Business acumen regarding commercial processes. Support our XENON USA accounting partner in preparing regular monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports used to analyze operational performance. Identify ways to continuously improve processes and procedures within the group. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 40%–60% travel based on customer demand and industry event attendance. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Science Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation or related industries, including at least 5 years in a senior sales role selling automation solutions. Proven track record of driving sales growth and prospective customer base. Demonstrated ability to manage technical field service process. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid proven leadership skills. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office. Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. No sponsorship for work visas. A high degree of personal responsibility and self‑motivation. PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Formal sales training such as Ben Duffy, Counselor Salesperson™, Dale Carnegie™ or similar. Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and build long‑term customer relationships. High level of cultural openness and strong intercultural communication skills, particularly when working with teams in Germany, Mexico and China. Spanish language skills are a plus. Established professional network within the industrial automation or related industries, and the ability to effectively leverage this network for business development. PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS Must be physically able to travel, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time for the purposes of travel, operate a motor vehicle for both short and long distances and fly via commercial flights both nationally and internationally (primarily Querétaro Mexico and Dresden Germany) as needed. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as part of essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to communicate clearly and present to internal and external audiences effectively – in person and virtually. Ability to engage in social interactions with clients and colleagues.
