QA Automation Engineer - Java / Selenium

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Selenium to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver .
- Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks .
- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation tests.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases .
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA .
- Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, and other QA engineers to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Execute automated and manual test cases as required.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies , including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines .
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide detailed status reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation standards, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java .
- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver .
- Experience developing and maintaining Selenium automation frameworks .
- Strong knowledge of TestNG/JUnit .
- Experience with Maven/Gradle .
- Experience with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket .
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools .
- Strong understanding of API testing , preferably using REST APIs and Postman.
- Good understanding of SQL/database validation .
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cucumber/BDD .
- Experience with REST Assured .
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud environments .
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes .
- Performance or load testing experience is a plus.
- Banking/financial services experience is a plus.
