Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Fabricator

Major Job Duties This key role for the state of Missouri is responsible for the construction and fabrication for new water/wastewater treatment plants. It will also support water and wastewater treatment facility maintenance, and capital improvement projects across Missouri. There is extensive travel required. Primary Responsibilities Perform pipe installations, modifications, and repairs for water and wastewater systems Install, align, and commission treatment plant equipment Support electrical and mechanical coordination for plant systems Assist with capital improvement and infrastructure upgrade projects Troubleshoot mechanical components and assist with system repairs Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure efficient project completion Travel throughout Missouri to support multiple facility locations as needed All other duties as assigned Personal Attributes Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem Attention to Detail - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task from the beginning to the end of the project/task Communication, Oral & Written- Ability to communicate effectively with others using both the spoken/written word Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards Judgment - Ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work- related problems Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct. Teamwork- Ability to work as part of a team Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks in stressful situations Qualifications Experience in water and wastewater construction required Strong mechanical background with working knowledge of electrical systems and general construction practices 3+ years of experience with heavy equipment operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Skilled in pipefitting, fabrication, and equipment installation Ability to work independently and as part of a team A CDL is preferred Willingness and flexibility to travel within Missouri Working Conditions Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 75 pounds Exposure to potential hazards such as chemicals, fumes, and odors Will work in confined spaces Willingness to be on call in emergency situations #J-18808-Ljbffr Central States Water Resources
