Exceptional opportunity! The duties include supervising all nursing staff in the facility, development and implementation of nursing policy and procedure, recruiting nursing staff with human resources and being part of the employee retention program, being a member of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee, overseeing quality measures and case mix-index, performing root cause analysis on hospital transfers and identifying education or correction need, leading the fall, skin and infection committees, actively participating in and overseeing facility investigations, ensuring the facility's continuing education/in-service program, overseeing competency testing of all clinical staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.

The requirements include being a NYS licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse, a graduate of an approved school of nursing and Associate or Bachelor's Degree, five years' experience in long-term care, three-five years' experience in management, thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare providers, strong verbal and written communication skills, good computer skills, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and good judgment. Ability to solve practical problems.
