Executive Director | Highgate Senior Living – Flagstaff, AZ

Compensation: $111,000–$122,000 per year

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead a purpose-driven senior living community by championing culture, supporting exceptional resident experiences, and stewarding the business. You’ll guide people, operations, sales, quality, and compliance while developing a high-performing team and a strong market presence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Oversee daily community operations within Highgate policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with state licensing, OSHA, and safety standards.

Lead hiring, coaching, and development of department heads and team members.

Drive occupancy and community reputation through sales leadership and outreach.

Manage budgets, labor, billing accuracy, and expense controls.

Foster customer engagement, respond to feedback, and uphold service standards.

Chair or participate in the Safety Committee and track workers’ compensation cases.

Ensure required training is delivered and documented.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Inspiring, hands-on leadership and sound judgment.

Operational acumen and financial literacy, including P&L, labor, and key performance indicators.

Clear communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure.

Warm, professional customer service and a resident-first mindset.

RELATABLE EXPERIENCE

Senior living leadership or healthcare or hospitality general management.

Regulatory compliance and survey readiness.

Community outreach, sales leadership, and business development.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 21 years of age.

Valid driver’s license with a qualifying driving record.

Leadership experience managing multi-department teams.

Meets Arizona licensing and administrator requirements, or is able to obtain them.

Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.

Current negative TB test.

Proficiency with computers and basic software.

Strong organization and attention to detail.

Ability to pass background checks required for healthcare environments.
