General Summary


Transport Odessa College Coaches and student-athletes to and from various athletic games and competitions.


Specific Position Duties


Safely and confidently operate multi-passenger van, bus, or its equivalent in size/or load capacity bus in a variety of weather conditions. Must be available for overnight trips and late-night returns. Work with coaching staff to deal with any changes or interruptions in trip itinerary and coordinate to ensure timely departures and arrivals. Perform safety and maintenance checks. Advise appropriate personnel of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.

Minimum Qualifications


Valid Class B CDL with Passenger/Air Brake endorsements and an excellent driving record.


Working knowledge of and ability to operate large capacity passenger vehicles. Knowledge of safety and security concepts, procedures, and practices. Demonstrated ability to follow and give oral and written instructions; explain and ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations; and react appropriately in routine and emergency situations. Successful completion of a background/medical clearance.
