Registered Nurse Medical Cardiology Stepdown

Overview Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Cardiology Stepdown unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions who require close monitoring and frequent assessments, but who are stable enough to be cared for outside of intensive care. As a key member of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and therapies, monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms, respond promptly to changes in patient status, and coordinate care transitions. You will educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, lifestyle modifications, and discharge plans, promoting understanding and engagement in the care process. Ability to provide patient-centered care to adults with cardiac conditions in a stepdown setting. Willingness to participate in education, quality and safety initiatives, and mentorship.
