Encore Oilfield Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Vessel Fitter to join our manufacturing team in New Iberia, Louisiana . This position is responsible for safely fitting, fabricating, and assembling ASME-coded pressure vessels used in natural gas compression equipment while maintaining exceptional quality, productivity, and adherence to company safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience reading fabrication drawings, performing precision fit-ups, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety and quality are top priorities.

• Fit and assemble ASME-coded pressure vessels according to engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Lay out and mark weld points using measuring tools, templates, squares, scribes, and other layout equipment.
• Position vessel components using jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and hand tools to ensure proper fit-up.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and P&IDs.
• Perform precision fit-ups independently while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
• Fabricate and assemble internal and external vessel components.
• Operate cutting equipment, cutting torches, grinders, iron workers, and other fabrication tools.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, rigging equipment, pipe threading machines, and pneumatic hand tools.
• Perform mathematical calculations to ensure accurate layouts, dimensions, and material cuts.
• Inspect completed fit-ups to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards before welding.
• Follow all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Promote teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement within the Vessel team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of vessel fitting, fabrication, or related manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to tack weld and safely operate grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of pressure vessel materials and fabrication practices.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to fabrication and layout.
• Ability to pass the required Vessel Fitter Test .
• Reliable attendance and the ability to maintain high productivity standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Experience fitting ASME-coded pressure vessels.
• Experience fitting pipe, structural steel, and pressure vessel components.
• Experience with rolling offset pipe calculations and layout.
• Knowledge of ASME fabrication standards.
• Experience in natural gas compression, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing environments.

• Frequently bend, squat, climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Work at elevated heights and in confined or enclosed spaces as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods while performing fitting and fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions while wearing required PPE.

This position is based in a manufacturing and fabrication facility where employees fabricate ASME-coded pressure vessels and related components. Team members regularly work around overhead cranes, heavy materials, cutting equipment, and industrial machinery while following all company safety procedures and quality standards.
