Job Summary

Summary: Provide polished, attentive food and beverage service to members and guests of the 1922 Club, a private, full-service restaurant combining the comfort and personal connection of a country club with the service standards and atmosphere of an upscale steakhouse. This position is responsible for creating a refined yet welcoming dining experience through knowledgeable menu guidance, precise execution, thoughtful bar service, and genuine hospitality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
• Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Short Description

Qualifications Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant, private club, fine-dining, upscale bar, or hospitality environment preferred. Strong working knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and responsible beverage service. Genuine commitment to hospitality and creating welcoming, personalized experiences for members and guests. Ability to accurately follow recipes and consistently execute beverages to established quality and presentation standards. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage bar guests, dining orders, and service-well responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness, and responsible alcohol service practices. Ability to work collaboratively with culinary, beverage, service, support, and management teams. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift or carry up to 30 pounds. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, game days, and special events based on the Club's operating schedule.
