We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant / Tax Preparer to join our growing Tax Department. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional client service, maintaining strong technical expertise, and adapting to evolving technologies in the accounting and tax industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare Federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and multi-state filings
• Review financial statements, QuickBooks files, workpapers, and prior-year returns to ensure accurate tax treatment
• Assist with tax planning strategies based on client financial situations
• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with Tax Managers and Senior Preparers on complex returns and special projects
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or tax preparation
• Strong knowledge of Federal and California tax laws for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Proven ability to prepare accurate tax returns with minimal review notes
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with Intuit ProSeries and QuickBooks preferred
• Completion of CTEC continuing education
• Valid and current PTIN required
• EA or CPA license is a plus, but not required
