Duration: 7 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift:

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Employment Type: Contract

Travel Pay: $1,015/week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide both front-office and back-office support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, including phlebotomy, EKG, point-of-care testing, patient rooming, scheduling, and vital signs.

The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide efficient, patient-focused care and support daily clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and blood collection.
• Perform EKGs as required.
• Conduct point-of-care (POC) testing .
• Administer vaccines and assist with routine clinical procedures.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage scheduling-related tasks.
• Answer phones and assist patients with inquiries.
• Provide front-office and back-office administrative and clinical support.
• Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) .
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Follow established safety, infection-control, and clinical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with providers and other healthcare staff.
• Support health education and outreach activities.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience – Required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience – Required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Interest in health education, outreach, and patient-centered care.
