Reg Respiratory Therapist

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated Reg Respiratory Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across our facilities in the southeastern United States. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based respiratory therapy that supports our mission of improving health through advanced technology, innovation, and compassionate, personalized care. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary conditions, interpret diagnostic results, and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes. Your daily responsibilities will include performing and managing oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, and non-invasive ventilation, as well as conducting and interpreting pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analyses. You will closely monitor patients’ respiratory status, adjust therapy based on established protocols and physician orders, and document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record with accuracy and timeliness. As a Reg Respiratory Therapist at Novant Health, you will play a key role in emergency and critical care situations by responding to rapid response and code events, initiating and managing advanced airway support, and participating in life-support procedures in collaboration with critical care and emergency teams. You will also provide patient and family education on respiratory diseases, equipment use, and self-management strategies, promoting understanding and adherence to treatment plans after discharge.
