RN - Outpatient Clinic

Level 1 RN - Outpatient Cardiology & Interventional Radiology

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

The Level 1 RN will work in both Outpatient Cardiology and Interventional Radiology, conducting essential patient care activities including moderate sedation and arrhythmia recognition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Treadmill, ETTs, and Nuclear Stress Testing.
• Conduct initial patient interviews and make preliminary assessments of test data.
• Prepare studies for physician interpretation.
• Work closely with physicians and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while providing patient and family education.
• Assist with monitoring for special procedures such as stress-echo studies and tilt table studies.
• Recognize emergency situations and respond according to policy/protocol.
• Identify and interpret arrhythmias; perform conscious sedation as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience with a focus on arrhythmia recognition and cardiology.
• Experience with moderate sedation, treadmill, and nuclear stress testing preferred.
• ICU or Cardiology nursing experience is a plus.
• Current NY RN License, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
