The Laurel Group creates an environment in which the highest standards are satisfied without sacrificing quality or personal touch. Our award-winning in-house landscape designers develop comprehensive plans and budgets for complete outdoor environments. We are currently seeking a pool of Landscape Designers to grow with us. The position responsibilities include: Perform site analysis that includes assessment, photos, and field measuring of existing site conditions. Work with the Lead Designer/Salesperson to create a finished Landscape design with hard and soft scape elements. Prepare project estimates which include getting bids from vendors and subcontractors. Write budgets and contracts with the aid of the estimating program. Communicate effectively with clients and other professionals in the industry. Review plans, proposed changes, and any other necessary documents. Prepare and attain permits for jobs, when necessary. Keep records, including everything from correspondence to reports. Qualifications Minimum of an associate degree in landscape design. Between 2 and 7 years of experience working for a Landscape Design firm or Landscape Architect. Minimum of 4 years’ experience with CAD for landscape design presentations. Use of Photoshop for design and renderings. Knowledge of horticultural science and construction techniques. Knowledge of Excel/Word formulas and formatting. Knowledge of 3D design illustration. Knowledge of converting surveys to base maps. Limited takeoffs.
