As a Surgery RN at The Women's Hospital, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through surgical procedures, ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality care from pre-operative preparation through recovery.This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where clinical expertise, critical thinking, and attention to detail directly impact patient outcomes. You'll partner closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams to support a seamless surgical experience for every patient.What You'll DoProvide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a women's health-focused environment.Prepare patients for surgery, including assessment, verification of orders, and patient education.Coordinate and implement individualized plans of care across the perioperative continuum.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures.Monitor patient status and respond to changes using strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.Support intraoperative and immediate post-operative care as needed.Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.RequiredActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state.PreferredBSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).Previous surgery or perioperative nursing experience.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
