Mechanical General Foreman

Description Position Summary: The Mechanical General Foreman reports directly to the Mechanical Superintendent and is responsible for the planning, crew development, safety, material management and quality control of the pipefitting and structural disciplines. The incumbent oversees the work of subordinates and interacts with site foreman to ensure quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance with both federal, state, local, client and company safety regulations. Schedule: Full-time, non-rotational 60 hours per week Flexibility for special occasions, family needs, or other accommodations is available Work Location: Watford City, North Dakota Workplace Benefits: Overtime Guaranteed Medical Insurance (Individual and Family) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k with Company Match Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Voluntary) Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Essential Job Functions: Ensure crews are on site, prepared and equipped to perform their assignments Conducts and leads toolbox and safety meetings Conduct regular inspections of crews work to ensure consistency, efficiency, safety, and quality Liaise and interface to socialize plans with client representatives, company quality control and project management team in a professional manner Prepare daily timesheets, documenting & approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc. Assist Foreman with training of new crew members Create an efficient, safe, and quality work environment Ensure foreman and crews are following all client, company and OSHA safety standards Organize and plan work weekly and daily to ensure crews are productive and safe Other job duties as assigned Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 7 years minimum experience working as pipefitter or structural craft hand in an oil field industrial setting 5 years' minimum experience in a supervisory and or lead role Current and valid driver's license, with clean driving record Post Job Offer Requirements: Take and pass a pre-employment drug test. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Demonstrated ability in supervising and leading others Must be proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment Able to perform all tasks and responsibilities in a professional manner Experience with lifting and setting of heavy lift modules Vast experience and skill in piping, structural and other labor crafts in an industrial oilfield setting Excellent verbal and written communication with positive interpersonal skills Skilled in scheduling crews and managing daily customer deliverables Able to work a minimum 12-hour shift daily Knowledgeable and experienced in oilfield operations Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department. Computer skills commensurate with programming and job applications.
