The unit contains 23 beds and has a staffing level of over 85 members. Staff types include charge nurses, nurse managers, transport personnel, RNs, CSTs, and OR assistants. Patient ratios in the unit are 1:1. The equipment used includes EMR systems. The hiring profile emphasizes a strong background in orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma. Common procedures performed in the unit include neuro/spine operations and orthopedic trauma surgeries, including total joint revisions. Robotics procedures may include gynecological, colorectal, thoracic, and urology surgeries. The unit operates 24/7, with required call responsibilities. Shifts are typically 10 and 12 hours in length. Scrub color for nurses is ciel blue or royal blue. Candidates should be adaptable and possess teamwork skills suitable for a high-stress environment.
