Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – DCF Program Location: Parsippany‑Troy Hills, NJ (Morris County) About Allies, Inc. Role Purpose Provide nursing and direct care to individuals residing in homes or receiving services from Allies, Inc. Ensure clients receive proper health maintenance and medical treatments while supervising and training direct care staff. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nursing School and licensed in the State of NJ Minimum 1 year of experience working with youth Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Two years’ experience in community health and/or home health care Required Skills Basic computer literacy Ability to read and write English Ability to lift or transfer at least 50 lbs. Ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and stand for extended periods Proficiency in safely executing all personal control and defensive techniques Good judgment and common sense Calmness in crisis situations Respectful interaction with a wide range of people Person‑centered approach to daily work Flexibility and professionalism in work assignments Responsibilities and Duties Provide direct nursing care and promote consumer‑oriented health care Administer medication and complete documentation Assist individuals with daily living skills as needed Accompany individuals to and from medical appointments and activities Maintain accurate in‑house documentation, including vehicle log, behavioral tracking, ABC forms, UIRs, critical info logs, MARs, progress notes, and monthly reports Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and training Implement medically prescribed diets and exercise programs Support the Agency Nurse in training support staff on health maintenance, medications, and treatments Encourage individuals to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment Complete required residential training (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Abuse Prevention, Crisis Management, New Hire Orientation, etc.) Collaborate with each client’s treatment team (IDT) and other stakeholders to build self‑esteem and social capital Operate agency vehicles as required during shifts Benefits for Full‑Time Employees Health Insurance Vision & Dental Plans Prescription Drug Program 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Observed Holidays Life Insurance & Disability Insurance Discounted Tuition & Tuition Reimbursement Why Work at Allies Meaningful relationships you make Fulfillment from truly rewarding work Paid training (rare among agencies in NJ) Opportunities for advancement At Allies, you will meet passionate people dedicating their lives to helping others.
