Make a real impact supporting students by becoming a Behavior Aide at a respected alternative school near Overland Park, KS. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, supporting a K-12 program dedicated to students with severe and aggressive behaviors. With seven positions available, you’ll collaborate with a professional team to provide essential guidance and support to students who need it most.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated background working with challenging behaviors in clinical or educational settings
• Experience with de-escalation techniques and supporting students with behavioral or emotional needs
• Training in restraint methods, such as CPI or similar certifications, highly preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation
• Compassion, resilience, and adaptability in high-intensity situations

Core Responsibilities:

• Support students with behavioral challenges through therapeutic interventions and consistent presence
• Implement individualized behavior plans under the direction of certified staff
• Maintain a safe classroom environment by proactively preventing and de-escalating crises
• Collaborate with staff and teachers to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Accurately document incidents and participate in team meetings to update strategies as needed
