Job Developer/Employment Specialist
Women In Need (Win)
The Employment Specialist (Job Developer) supports clients in achieving financial stability through employment and education. This role partners closely with individuals in transitional housing to provide job readiness, career coaching, and direct connections to hiring employers across New York City. You will play a key role in helping clients secure, retain, and grow sustainable income that leads to long-term independence.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Develop job opportunities by building relationships with employers, staffing agencies, and workforce partners Match clients to appropriate job openings and support them through the hiring process Connect clients to vocational training, education programs, and career advancement opportunities Facilitate job readiness workshops, computer skills training, and financial literacy sessions Plan and support hiring events such as job fairs and recruitment drives Track and document client progress in employment and income-building activities Collaborate with Case Managers, Housing staff, and other service providers to align employment goals with housing stability Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care to engage clientsWHO YOU WILL BE
