Shift Information

Shift: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Unit Information

Location: Manchester, NH

Unit Details:

• Number of Beds: 4 ultrasound rooms
• Number of Staff: 14
• Staff Breakdown:
  
  
  • Day Shift: 4 sonographers (plus supervisor)
  • Evening Shift: 1 sonographer after 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 1 sonographer
• Patient Ratios: 8-10 patients in an 8-hour shift
• Type of Equipment: Siemens Acuson S200 & GE Logiq E10
• EMR: Allscripts, PACS - InteleRad
• Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience with a variety of ultrasound types
• Demonstrated good track record with previous employers and positive references
• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology, with the ability to identify normal versus abnormal findings
• Basic scanning skills with a solid understanding of sonographic physics and techniques
• Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting, with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications such as RVT, OB-GYN, or AB
• Experience in the Operating Room (OR) and with ultrasound procedures

Procedures Performed

• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Fine Needle Aspirations (FNAs) including thyroid, parotid, lymph nodes
• Soft tissue mass biopsies
• Liver and renal biopsies
• Drainages for abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders
• Thrombin injections
• Breast needle placements
• Carotid ultrasound
• Dilation and Curettage (D&C)
• Prostate biopsies

Additional Information

Required Certifications: BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure

Dress Code: Any color professional, clean appearing scrubs or radiology themed t-shirts

Work Schedule: Weekends covered by dedicated weekend staff. No on-call duties required.
