CDL A Truck Driver – Regional/OTR – Home Most Weekends

Son of Dad Trucking LLC – Rome, NY
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 25% - 30% of line haul

We’re looking for dependable and experienced CDL A drivers who want to grow with a team that values transparency, consistency, and fair compensation.

Main Lanes

We dispatch from Rome, NY to major freight markets including:

Pennsylvania (PA)
Ohio (OH)
Indiana (IN)
Illinois (IL)
North/South Carolina (NC/SC)
Georgia (GA)
Tennessee (TN)
Other high-volume Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast lanes

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 years of experience as a CDL A driver
Clean MVR (1–2 minor violations acceptable)
Familiarity with ELDs and DOT compliance
Reliable communication and time management skills

Solo position
Owner Operator

Schedule

Local/OTR
Flexible with occasional weekend pickups/deliveries (1–2 times per month)
Average 2–3 weeks out with scheduled home time

Based in Rome, NY
In-person onboarding; remote dispatch operations
