Role Description The General Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Clovis, NM, responsible for overseeing all front-end sales operations at the dealership. This role includes leading, coaching, and developing the sales team, setting performance goals, and monitoring key metrics to ensure consistent achievement of volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets. Daily responsibilities involve managing the sales process from lead generation through delivery, optimizing inventory mix and pricing strategies with leadership, and collaborating with finance and fixed operations to create a seamless customer experience. The General Sales Manager will implement sales initiatives, training programs, and process improvements, while ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies. This role also engages directly with customers, resolves escalated concerns, and helps build a high-integrity, high-performance culture aligned with DARE TO DREAM AUTOMOTIVE’s people-first values.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive sales management, including leading showroom operations and overseeing new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach, and motivate diverse sales teams to achieve and exceed performance goals.
• Strong skills in sales forecasting, inventory management, pricing strategy, and understanding of dealership financials and KPIs.
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities, with a focus on integrity, long-term retention, and high CSI scores.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the capacity to collaborate across departments.
• Comfort with dealership CRM tools, OEM systems, and basic data analysis for performance reporting and decision-making.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Clovis, NM, with a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to a people-first culture.
• Prior experience in a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or similar automotive leadership role; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
