Registered Nurse Opportunity at Mountain View HospitalMountain View Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team!Pain management nurses work closely with patients to monitor the severity and timing of pain in order to treat it effectively. Once a plan is determined, they then must have excellent communication with the patient and family and maintain treatment notes to watch for signs of abuse or other symptoms. This position also requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate between multiple medical facilities as a patient may be treated by various specialists simultaneously.Taking care for our community starts with taking care of our own team. Assists in the development of technical and professional skills.Assures quality of care by representing philosophies and practicing nursing standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments.Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).Ability and responsibility to communicate within and across the organization or systems to support improved patient outcomes.Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Current BLS and ACLS certification and renewal as required.Experience: Conscious sedation course certification required within 6 months of hireEquipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge.Language/Communication: Must have ability to communicate effectively with others including the ability to read, write, and speak English.Mathematical Skills: Able to calculate correct medication doses using necessary formulas as applicable.
