Lumber Location Supervisor

Position and Compensation Location Supervisor – Pay: $26.78–$31.48 hourly Responsibilities People & Leadership: lead and mentor location staff, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellent customer service; foster an inclusive and motivated work environment; conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development discussions; handle conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as necessary. Operations, Process Management, & Execution: set clear goals aligned with company objectives, implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity, analyze performance metrics, assist in staffing and scheduling, drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S & LEAN), oversee daily operations, inventory management, order fulfillment and proper material handling, enforce policies, procedures, and best practices, and optimize resource allocation, budgets, and cost controls. Customer & Stakeholder Relations: build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendor partners, address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, and support sales teams across departments to achieve business objectives. Safety & Compliance: enforce safety regulations, maintain a hazard‑free environment, ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA and labor laws, assist in equipment maintenance and employee safety training, prepare accident and claim reports, maintain First Aid and AED certifications, participate on the safety committee, and walk the yard daily to identify safety improvements. Administrative & Financial Oversight: track and review productivity reports, assist with employee attendance, payroll approvals, and compliance records.
