Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including a Level 2 Trauma and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center population
• Deliver specialized nursing care for neuro, cardiovascular, STEMI, CABG/Valve, IABP, CRRT, sepsis, and surgical patients
• Manage care for multi-trauma patients including motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic injuries
• Float between ICU and PCU overflow units (up to 12 overflow beds) as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
• Strong neuro experience required
• Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; open license hits will not be approved
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Magnet-designated acute care facility
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, or high-acuity cardiovascular and stroke populations
