Location: Pearland, Friendswood, Pasadena, Webster, Alvin, Missouri City, Brazoria and Galveson Counties

About the Role:

The Caregiver role is centered on providing compassionate and personalized support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to age, illness, or disability. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being in their own homes or care facilities. This position involves building trusting relationships with clients and their families, understanding their unique needs, and delivering care that respects their dignity and independence. Caregivers play a critical role in monitoring health conditions, administering basic medical care as needed, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals. Ultimately, the role contributes to the overall health and happiness of clients by fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid caregiver certification or completion of a recognized caregiver training program.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related healthcare field.
• Certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to speak multiple languages to better serve diverse client populations.
• Additional training in nutrition, physical therapy assistance, or mental health support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with basic health monitoring under supervision.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors or family members.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
