Key Responsibilities Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, and machinery. Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials, ensuring optimal stock levels. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support tooling requirements for new products. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the tool room. Troubleshoot complex tooling issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in tool and die making, machining, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Proven expertise in operating and programming CNC machinery, manual machining equipment, and precision measurement tools. Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology principles. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled toolmakers and machinists. Experience with inventory management and procurement processes for tooling and materials. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and fabrication. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification. Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin. Project management experience, specifically with tooling-related projects.
