RN Interventional Radiology

Job Summary: The IR Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center. This role focuses on pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation of patients for up to 23 hours. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to inpatient and outpatient populations of all ages, utilizing medical/surgical and telemetry nursing skills. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities: Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures and monitor them during post-procedural recovery and observation. Provide overnight care for patients boarding pre- or post-procedure, up to 23 hours. Care for patients undergoing CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, and ultrasound procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Utilize medical/surgical and telemetry nursing skills in patient management. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status effectively. Required Skills & Certifications: Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (NY licenses only). Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nursing experience. At least 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience. Telemetry nursing experience. Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience with GI post-procedural care. Demonstrated ability to work enthusiastically and flexibly within a team environment. Organizational skills to manage fast-paced clinical settings. Special Considerations: Night shift position with no weekend or on-call requirements. Work environment includes fast-paced pre- and post-interventional radiology care in a Level 1 Trauma center. Scheduling: Four 10-hour night shifts per week, Monday through Thursday. No weekend shifts or on-call duties. #J-18808-Ljbffr vTech Solution
